Lucknow, Amrit Vichar. This time, in preparation for the Magh Mela 2026 to be organized in Prayagraj on the lines of Mahakumbh 2025, the lighting system is being given a particularly innovative look.
Under a scheme of Rs 150 crore, the Municipal Corporation is decorating the routes from the city to the fair area with attractive lights. The combination of neon and spiral lights on 260 prominent trees will give a divine experience to the spectators. Lights with motifs of conch, chakra, trident and other religious symbols will attract the attention of devotees on the routes from the airport to Sangam.
More than 11,000 new street lights are being installed in 28 wards of the extended area. 4,400 lights received from the fair administration are also being used. The effort is that whichever route the devotees take towards the fair area, they should see the roads and streets shining with grand lights.
