Maha Shivpuran Bhasmasura Katha: Interesting mythological story of Bhasmasura's boon and Mohini incarnation.

The story of Bhasmasura described in Mahashivpuran is considered to be one of the most famous and mysterious stories in Hindu mythology. This story depicts a deep message related to blessings, power and its abuse.

According to the story, the demon Bhasmasura pleased Lord Shiva by performing rigorous penance and received a boon from him that whoever’s head he laid his hand on would be immediately reduced to ashes. After receiving this boon, Bhasmasur became extremely powerful and arrogant.

Intoxicated by his power, he started trying to harm Lord Shiva himself, due to which there was an uproar in the entire world. Then the Trinity took refuge in Lord Vishnu to find a solution to this crisis.

After this Vishnu took the form of Mohini, which is called Mohini. She captivated Bhasmasur with her extremely charming appearance and dance.

According to the story, while imitating Mohini’s dance, Bhasmasura finally placed his hand on his own head, and because of his own boon, he himself was reduced to ashes. In this way the gods were freed from his terror.

This narrative not only gives the message of right use of power but also teaches that arrogance and power used in the wrong direction ultimately leads to destruction.

At present, this mythological story has again become a topic of interest among people on social media and religious discussions.
