Maharishi Narad was going on a journey to Vaikuntha, Narad ji met a woman on the way and said, Munivar, you often go to meet Lord Narayana. There is no child in my house. You ask Shri Prabhu when will I have a child in my house? Narad ji said okay, I will ask. Saying this, Naradji started on his journey saying Narayan-Narayan.
After reaching Vaikuntha, when Shri Narayan ji asked Naradji about his well-being, Naradji said that when I was coming, there was a woman on the way, who has no children in her house. He asked me to ask you when he will have a child at home. Narayan said, you go and tell that woman that she is not destined to have the happiness of a child.
When Naradji was returning, that woman was eagerly waiting for Naradji. The woman asked Naradji what answer Prabhu Narayan gave, on this Naradji said that Prabhu has said that there will be no children in your house. Hearing this, the woman started crying loudly and Naradji started walking. Some time passed. A saint came to the village for Madhukari and that saint made this call near the same woman’s house.
Hearing the voice of the saint, the woman brought food for Madhukari. After receiving the donation, the saint blessed her to have a daughter and it happened as the saint had said. A son was born to that woman. That woman distributed food among the poor and played drums to celebrate her son.
After a few years, when Naradji passed by there again, the woman started rebuking Naradji and saying, why Naradji, you keep saying Narayan Narayan all the time, you had said that there will be no children in my house. Look at this, my prince son… Then the woman also told about that saint.
Now Naradji wanted an answer as to how this happened. He quickly went towards Narayan Dham and told the Lord that you had said that that woman would not have a child. Does that saint have more power than you?
Narayan Bhagwan said, I am not feeling well today. I will answer your question later. First you arrange medicine for me. Naradji said, please allow me Lord, Shri Narayan said, Naradji, you go to the world and bring a bowl of blood. Naradji kept roaming here and there but could not find even a cup of blood.
On the contrary, people would ridicule that Narayan was ill. While walking, Naradji reached a forest. The same saint was found there, who had blessed that woman with a son. He recognized Saint Naradji, he said, Hey Naradji, what are you doing in this forest at this time. Naradji replied to this.
The Lord has asked me to bring some human blood. Hearing this, the saint stood up and said that the Lord has asked for the blood of a human being. The saint said, do you have any knife or knife? Naradji said that I am roaming around with that in my hand. That saint gave a cup of blood from his body. Naradji came to Narayanji with that blood and said, I have brought medicine for you.
Narayan said, this is also the answer to your question, the saint who has made me indebted to him by sending so much blood from his body after asking for a cup of blood for me, who loves me so much, can’t I give a son to anyone if that saint blesses me? You too could have prayed for that barren woman, but you did not do so. There was blood in your body too, but you did not donate it.
