Parma Ekadashi fast story: Importance of Shukla Paksha Ekadashi of Adhikamas, know the mythological story and results

Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Adhikamas is called Parama Ekadashi. It is also known as Kamada Ekadashi in some texts, which is mentioned in Padma Purana.

This Ekadashi fast is considered very auspicious for the devotees and it is a religious belief that by observing it, all the sins are destroyed and the wishes are fulfilled.

📖 Fast story of Parma Ekadashi

Once upon a time, there lived a devout Brahmin in a city. He was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu, but due to some reason difficulties kept increasing in his life. Troubled by sorrows, he sought guidance from the sages.

The sages advised him to observe a fast on Shukla Paksha Ekadashi of Adhikamas. The Brahmin observed fast with full devotion and rules, kept vigil at night and meditated on Lord Vishnu.

Due to the effect of fasting, all his troubles went away and his life was filled with happiness and prosperity. Since then this Ekadashi started being considered extremely fruitful.

One gets freedom from sins, one gets peace of mind, happiness and prosperity comes in life, one gets the blessings of Lord Vishnu.
