Lucknow, Amrit Vichar. Markazi Chand Committee Chairman Maulana Syed Saif Abbas Naqvi answered the questions asked on the Shia helpline issued by the Office of Ayatollah Al Uzama Syed Sadiq Hussaini Shirazi.
A fasting person asked if a person pays the Fitra amount in Ramzan, is it right? In response, it was told that Fitra is obligatory after the rising of the moon, hence it should be given on 29th Ramzan (moon night).
A question came on the helpline that if a person goes away after offering Eid-ul-Fitr namaz and does not listen to the sermon, then what is the ruling? In response it was told that his namaz was correct. It is not necessary to listen to the sermon of Eid Namaz, but it is better if you listen to it.
A fasting person asked whether it is permissible for a fasting person to wear fragrance while fasting? In response to this, it was told that fragrance can be applied while fasting, like scent, attar etc. This will not make the fast void and the fast will remain valid.
