On the 3rd of Ramadan, the queries of the fasting people were answered on the helpline operated by the Islamic Center of India and the office of Ayatollah Al Uzma Syed Sadiq Hussaini Shirazi. Through these helplines, the doubts that the fasting people have regarding religious and Shari’a problems are resolved.
A fasting person asked on the helpline of Islamic Center of India that a person has a lot of toothache, can he get his tooth extracted while fasting? In response to this question, it was told that if there is no danger of blood and medicine getting into the throat, the tooth can be extracted.
A question came to the helpline whether a minor boy can lead Taraweeh prayers? In response to this question, it was told that being an adult is a condition for Imamat. A question came that with what is it better to observe Roza Iftar? The reply said that it is better to do it with dates, if dates are not available then it can be done with anything. A panel of religious leaders responded to this helpline under the guidance of Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangimahali.
Maulana Syed Saif Abbas Naqvi responded to the Shia helpline issued by Ayatollah Al Uzma Syed Sadiq Hussaini Shirazi. A question came on this helpline that if a person believes that fasting will harm him, is it permissible for such a person to fast? In response to this question, it was said that if a person cannot bear it then fasting is not valid but if it is going to cause harm like death etc. then fasting is haraam.
A question arose that if a person sleeps after having suhoor but does not offer morning namaz, will his fast be broken or will it be makruh? In response to this question, it was said that the fast would neither be void nor makruh but he would be guilty of not performing the prayer.
It was asked on the helpline that if a person buys a property without paying Khums, what is the ruling? In response it was told that Khums is Wajib and it should be paid. If property is purchased for business purposes, then Khums will have to be paid when it is sold.
