Samudrik Shastra (the ancient Indian science of anatomy) understands a person’s nature, personality and path of life based on their physical structure and the shape of body parts. Features such as toes, fingers, ears, nails, eyebrows and body hair are believed to tell many things about a person’s character. However, these beliefs are based on traditional Samudrik Shastra and are viewed primarily from the perspective of faith and tradition.
**toe**
According to Samudrika Shastra, the toe is considered to be a sign of a person’s influence and spiritual inclination. A larger or longer thumb than average indicates a simple and religious nature. Conversely, if the finger next to the thumb is longer than the thumb, the person is considered dominant. At the same time, the smallest toe is considered a sign of poor financial condition and selfish nature.
**fingers**
It is believed that the fingers of the hand reflect the thoughts and interests of the person. People with long and thin fingers are considered artistic and creative. Thick and hard fingers indicate that the person may have to face a lot of struggle in life. Crooked fingers are associated with financial success as well as health challenges, while bent fingers indicate a very selfish nature.
**Ear**
In Samudrik Shastra, large ears are considered a symbol of long life, while small ears are associated with short life and difficulties in life. The growth of hair on the ears is considered a sign of success and longevity after struggle. People with long ears are considered influential, devoted to relationships, and spiritually inclined.
**Nails**
Long and naturally beautiful nails indicate good fortune. Irregular or crooked nails indicate a life of struggle. A large crescent shape at the base of the nails is considered a sign of good health, while its absence is associated with long-term health problems. In traditional beliefs, the sudden appearance of white marks on the nails is also considered a sign of a person’s health.
eyebrows
According to *Samudra Shastra*, thick eyebrows above the eyes indicate simple and straightforward nature. If the eyebrows meet in the middle, the person is likely to be angry. Broken or uneven looking eyebrows are considered a sign of mental stress, while downward sloping eyebrows are associated with a feeling of detachment from worldly life.
