The practice of worshiping nine girls on Ashtami or Navami on the day of Navratri is more prevalent. Along with nine girls, a small child is also worshiped by bathing and worshiping satvik food. The spiritual meaning of this tradition must be understood for happiness, peace and prosperity in life. These nine girls are worshiped as the form of nine forms and divine qualities of Maa Durga. Because, small boys and girls are pure, naive, simple and innocent by nature, who is very dear to the formless Lord Shiva. And it is also well known that the Ashtabhuja ladies, which we worship for nine days of Navratri, the source of divine knowledge, qualities and powers of all of them is Lord Shiva himself, hence all the goddesses are called Shiva Shakti of Shiva.
Worship of girls
