Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: Under the Chief Minister Group Marriage Scheme, marriages of poor couples will be organized in the beginning of February. 700 beneficiaries have applied for marriage. The Social Welfare Department has asked all BDOs and EOs to fix the date by 20th January.
Social Welfare Officer Anjani Kumar Singh said that preparations have been started to conduct mass marriages in the second phase. The marriage will be organized on 4th and 5th February after fixing the auspicious time. About 700 applications have been received. They are getting their verification done at city and block level. The application process is also going on. This time marriages will be organized at all development block levels. All BDOs will fix the marriage dates and make them available through the portal by January 20. After this, a date for the marriage will be fixed with the approval of higher officials.
