Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: The marriage auspicious time which started after Devuthani Ekadashi will stop from December 7. Kharmas will start from 16th December due to Sun’s Sagittarius Sankranti, in which marriage rituals are not performed as per the scriptures. With this, Venus will set for 52 days on 12 December 2025, which will rise on 1 February 2026. Marriage and auspicious activities are considered prohibited during the period of Venus setting, hence there will not be a single auspicious marriage time in January 2026.
Astrologer SS Nagpal told that marriage ceremonies will be able to resume after 5 February 2026. There will be a total of 54 pure marriage Muhurtas in the new year. However, after March 14, marriages will not be possible again for a month due to Pisces Kharmas. In the year 2026, Chaturmas will start from Devshayani Ekadashi on 25th July and marriage activities will start again only after Devuthani Ekadashi on 20th November.
