Ayodhya, Amrit Vichar: The Mahavrat of Chhath Puja is starting from 25th October across the country. Traditionally, the process of Maha Anushthan will start with bathing and eating. The festival will conclude with offering Arghya to the rising sun on 28th October. Preparations have been started for Chhath Mahotsav on Saryu banks. The Municipal Corporation has deployed a large number of personnel for cleaning the ghats. Apart from this, lighting arrangements are also being ensured.

Chhath Mahaparva is a very difficult fast. In this, the fasting women start the four-day great ritual by taking bath and eating on the first day. The fasting women observe waterless fast for 36 hours. Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi said that a large number of cleaning workers have been deployed to clean the ghats. He informed that cleaning of the ghats along the banks of Saryu will be started.

Arrangements are being made by the Municipal Corporation with full promptness to ensure that the fasting women attending Chhath Puja do not face any inconvenience. The tradition of Chhath Puja originating from Bihar is now becoming an international identity. Recently, Chhath Puja festival was also mentioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 126th episode of Mann Ki Baat. Therefore, it has become a global festival.

Arrangements will be made at the ghats regarding Chhath Puja

After Deepotsav and Diwali, now preparations are on for Kartik Purnima and Parikrama Fair. Before this, the festival of Chhath Puja will be celebrated. For this, arrangements have to be made for ghats of Saryu. At the administrative level, efforts have been started to deploy magistrates for these fairs to ensure peace and security. The focus is on the parikrama path. Preparing the parikrama path on time is being considered the most important task at present. Police officers along with magistrates will be deployed on the entire parikrama path. Force will be needed. After Parikrama, lakhs of devotees reach Ayodhya for Kartik Purnima bath.

Preparing the circumambulation path is considered to be the most important work in the fair. It is being widened and beautified. The road has become bumpy due to work. The work is going on fast, but it is not very easy to make it suitable for walking barefoot on time. This is not easy because of work at different places. Officers visited several times. Gave instructions. Additional District Magistrate and Fair Officer Yoganand Pandey said that the preparations are being finalized. Preparations will be completed on time.
