First day of Chaitra Navratri and auspicious time of worship
Chaitra Navratri is starting from today, and on the first day *Kalash Sthapana* (installation of the sacred urn) is done. During Navratri, a total of nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshipped. The first day is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Shailputri. Every year, Chaitra Navratri begins specifically on Pratipada Tithi (first lunar date) of Chaitra month. Regarding the auspicious time (*muhurat*) of the puja, it is suggested that you perform the *puja* and *ghatasthapana* between 6:52 am to 7:43 am today. If this time is not convenient for you, you can also perform *Kalash Sthapana* later in the day, between 12:05 pm to 12:53 pm. Please note that this latter time falls under *Abhijeet Muhurta*, which is considered extremely auspicious for worship.

Auspicious time of Gudi Padwa and puja
The festival of Gudi Padwa will be celebrated today in Maharashtra region. It is considered auspicious to perform the rituals of Gudi Padwa after sunrise.
