First day of Chaitra Navratri and auspicious time of worship
Chaitra Navratri is starting from today, and on the first day *Kalash Sthapana* (installation of the sacred urn) is done. During Navratri, a total of nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshipped. The first day is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Shailputri. Every year, Chaitra Navratri begins specifically on Pratipada Tithi (first lunar date) of Chaitra month. Regarding the auspicious time (*muhurat*) of the puja, it is suggested that you perform the *puja* and *ghatasthapana* between 6:52 am to 7:43 am today.
