There is a deep relationship between human progress and Vaastu (science of architecture) of the house. If the flow of positive energy inside the house is correct, then a person also progresses a lot. The main gate can be in any direction; But, it is very important that it is in the right *position* (particular zone or place). There is a common misconception among people that the main gate facing south is inauspicious, or vice versa, that the main gate facing north and east are very beneficial in themselves and bring wealth. In fact, main gates in *all* directions can be good or bad. It is important to remember that if the main gate is in an auspicious *pada*, it gives good results; On the contrary, if it is in an inauspicious *pada*, it gives bad results. There are a total of eight *padas* in each direction; Of these, generally only two are suitable for making the main gate. For example, there are eight *padas* (numbered 1 to 8) in the north direction; Of these, only two specific *positions* are suitable for making the main gate.
house of worship (temple)
The best place for the puja room is *Ishaan Kon* (north-east corner), which extends towards the east. Building a puja room in this zone is considered very beneficial. However, a puja room built exactly in the west direction is also very auspicious, as it helps in fulfilling the desires of the person. When a puja room is built in *Ishaan Kon* (North-East), then excessive use of red color should be avoided.
Kitchen
It is often said that fire is beneficial only as long as it is confined inside the stove; If it goes beyond its limits, it wreaks havoc. In other words, fire works harmoniously only within its own elemental domain—Agni Tattva (*Agni Tattva*). Fire—in any form—intruding into the realms of other elements is considered harmful, even if this intrusion is through the use of a particular color or metal. Wherever fire spreads beyond its elemental region, it inevitably diminishes the natural qualities and characteristics associated with that particular element. Therefore, the best location for the kitchen—which includes the south-east, south-south-east and south zones—is *Agni Kona* (fire corner). Apart from this, the kitchen can also be made in the west direction. However, in this case, use yellow colored stone for the countertop slab.
toilet
Toilet is related to planet Rahu. As a result, there are only three suitable places for it in the entire house. It is advisable to build the toilet in the east-south-east, south-south-west, or west-north-west directions. Furthermore, wherever the toilet is located, it tends to reduce or eliminate the specific qualities associated with that particular direction from your life. Therefore, if circumstances make it necessary to construct a toilet in another direction, or if a toilet already exists in an otherwise positive direction, you should take measures to correct its position. There is no possible remedial solution for toilets located in the north-east or south-west directions. Therefore, strictly avoid toileting in these two directions—even if unknowingly—as doing so can bring great difficulties in your life.
