New design elements will be seen in 2026 Honda City and some additional features are also expected to be provided in it.
Honda Cars India is preparing to launch the facelifted Honda City on 22 May 2026. On the same day, the company will also launch Honda ZR-V in India through the CBU route. The Japanese company was recently spotted testing the updated City several times and now its pictures have been leaked online ahead of the launch.
As expected, Honda’s most popular car in India has been given some cosmetic updates. However, this is not a completely new generation, so the changes are not huge. The front design of the new Honda City has been updated to give it a sharper look. It has a new black grill, in which hexagonal inserts are seen.
Apart from this, new bumper, updated air intake and new fog lamp housings have also been provided. The Honda logo is now placed below the bonnet. as well as in New Designed black alloy wheels are also included. Although clear pictures of the rear have not been revealed yet, it is expected that it will see tail lamps with new inserts, updated bumper and some other changes.
The company can also introduce new exterior colors with the 2026 Honda City, so that the car looks more fresh. Talking about the engine, there is no possibility of any change in it. The existing 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine and 1.5-litre strong hybrid petrol engine will continue.
The petrol engine produces 121 hp power and 145 Nm torque, while the hybrid version generates around 126 hp power. Transmission options will include 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox as before. The company can offer the hybrid version in more variants, although its official confirmation has not been made yet.
Currently, the price of Honda City ranges between Rs 12.05 lakh to Rs 16.12 lakh (ex-showroom) and the price of the facelift model may increase slightly. The interior may include a larger touchscreen infotainment system, better connectivity features, new instrument cluster, ADAS, upgraded cabin materials. Apart from this, ventilated front seats, 360 degree camera system and many new features can also be seen.
