2026 Hyundai Verna will be launched in India early next year and will get many changes in the exterior and interior.

Hyundai has recently launched the new generation Venue in the Indian market with new design and features. Now 2026 Hyundai Verna has also been spotted during testing. The story of Hyundai Verna in India began in 2006, when it replaced the company’s popular car Xcent. The first generation Verna came with 1.6-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines at that time and was well received by the customers. Its facelift model was also launched after about four years.

The second generation Verna, which came in 2011, gave a completely new look with its “Fluidic Sculpture” design and it was from here that Verna started being identified as a stylish and modern sedan. Then its facelift came in 2015. Launched in 2017, the third generation Verna was based on Hyundai’s K2 platform, which was larger, wider and with coupe-like styling. It was also given premium features like electric sunroof and ventilated seats.

The fourth generation Verna was launched in 2023, but it was not as successful as its previous models. A major reason for this was that the popularity of the mid-size sedan segment had started declining at that time. Now the company is preparing its facelifted model, a glimpse of which can be seen in the recently released pictures.

The new 2026 Hyundai Verna will see mild changes on the exterior, which will include a new hexagonal grille design, updated front bumper and a slightly higher front profile. Besides, the design of fog lamp will also be new. The front and rear lights may remain the same, while the design of the alloy wheels and bonnet will also remain mostly the same.

Talking about the inside, it will now have a larger curved display, which will house a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The steering wheel will have a new design and new materials and color themes will be seen in the dashboard and center console.

However, its engine options will remain the same as before, which include 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engines. It will be offered with both manual and automatic transmission options. Overall, the new 2026 Hyundai Verna will be an updated and more premium version of the existing model, which will try to make a comeback in the mid-size sedan segment with its design and features.
