Class-D projector headlamps, all-LED lighting and assist and slipper clutch are available as standard features in the 2026 Apache RTR 160 4V in the Indian market.

TVS has launched the updated Apache RTR 160 4V in India and it has been given several important updates to improve safety, visibility and riding experience. Prices for the new 4V range start at Rs 1,25,440 (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the Apache RTR lineup now starts at Rs 1,12,190. Under this update, TVS has increased the number of variants and made many important features standard in all variants.

The biggest feature of this bike is that the premium features which were earlier available only in the top variants, have now been made available in more variants. It includes features like Class-D projector headlamp, full LED lighting setup and assist and slipper clutch, due to which more customers than before will be able to buy this bike.

The new lighting system is a big upgrade in terms of visibility and safety. LED DRLs are provided with projector headlamps, which provide better illumination at night. Apart from this, the full LED setup with LED turn indicators also gives a modern look to the bike. Mechanically, the assist and slipper clutch is an important change which improves the riding. This smoothes downshifts, reduces rear wheel slip during sharp braking and makes the clutch lighter during city driving. However, no changes have been made to the engine.

Commenting on the launch, Vimal Sumbli, Premium Business Head, TVS Motor Company, said, “With this new update, we are enhancing rider safety, night visibility and on-road control across the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V range, while also delivering a premium riding experience. Each upgrade has been designed keeping in mind the needs of today’s performance-minded riders.”

The 2026 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has the same power output of 17.55 PS as before, due to which it remains one of the most powerful bikes in the 160cc segment. It also gets three ride modes like Sport, Urban and Rain, along with features like radial tyres, hydro-formed handlebar and Bluetooth connectivity (with navigation and call alerts).

The variant lineup has also been better prepared. The base variant gets single-channel ABS and telescopic fork, while the mid variants come with features like dual-channel ABS and adjustable levers. The top variant gets upside-down front fork, traction control and a 5-inch TFT display.
