3 new midsize electric SUVs will be launched soon in the Indian market

Companies like Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra and Tata are preparing to launch new midsize electric SUVs in India soon.

There are many big launches coming in the mid-size SUV segment of India in the next few months. Big companies like Maruti Suzuki, Tata and Mahindra are going to launch completely new models with electric drivetrain. Every new model can change the market competition and here is the information about those upcoming models.

1. Tata Sierra EV

Tata Motors is all set to bring back its iconic Sierra brand in the Indian market. This name has always been special for Indian SUV lovers. Its comeback could begin with the launch of the electric version next month. After this, petrol and diesel versions will also hit the market early next year.

This electric vehicle will have two battery packs which will probably be like the Harrier EV. Thus, we can expect it to have a driving range of over 500 km on a single charge and will also support DC fast charging capability. The Sierra EV will be positioned between the Curve EV and the Harrier EV.

2. Maruti and Vitara

Maruti Suzuki started the export of its electric SUV e Vitara a few months ago and now it will be launched in the Indian market soon. It will be available in Nexa showrooms in the coming months. The e-Vitara will have two types of battery options, which will give a range of about 500 kilometers when fully charged. It will get premium features like large touchscreen infotainment system, fully digital driver display and Level 2 ADAS.

3. Mahindra XEV 7e

Mahindra is planning to launch the facelifted version of the XUV700 by early 2026. Apart from this, the company is also working on XEV 7e based on XUV8. It will be a three-row electric SUV and will be inspired by the XUV700. It will have many similarities to the XEV 9e and BE 6, including a triple-screen dashboard.
