The Evolution+ variant of the Renault Kiger has been added to both the Energy and Turbo lineup, while the Techno Turbo variant will now also be available with the option of a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Renault India has expanded the variant lineup of the Kiger SUV by launching four new variants. The company says that with this update, Kiger has now become the most affordable turbo SUV in the entry-level B-SUV segment. The starting price of Kiger Turbo has been kept at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), while the price of the new Evolution+ variant starts at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
In the new Kiger range, Renault has introduced the Evolution+ variant with both naturally aspirated and turbo engine options. Features like smart access card, Push Start/Stop button, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone connectivity and driver seat height adjustment have been provided in this variant. The company believes that with this, customers will be able to get more premium features at a lower price.
Renault has also expanded the Kiger Turbo lineup in view of the increasing demand. While earlier only three variants were available with turbo engines, now their number has been increased to five. Apart from this, now the option of 5-speed manual gearbox is also given in Techno variant. On the other hand, the number of variants with naturally aspirated engines has been increased from 6 to 8, which will provide more options to the customers.

Talking about features and practicality, Renault Kiger offers many special features in its segment. It has a large boot space of 405 litres, ground clearance of 205 mm and cabin storage capacity of 29 litres. Apart from this, the functional roof rails are capable of carrying a load of up to 50 kg. The cabin of the SUV is also quite spacious, making it a good choice for family use.
Among the engine options, the Kiger’s 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces 100 PS of power and the company claims that its torque-to-weight ratio is the best in the segment. Along with this, the option of X-Tronic CVT gearbox and D-Step technology is also available, which helps in providing better driving experience.
