Mahindra to launch 4 premium SUVs, including an electric model, and a global pickup truck in India by next year
Mahindra has recently launched three new vehicles in the domestic market, which include XEV 9S, XUV 7XO and XUV 3XO EV. Moving forward, the company will launch four to five new models in India by next year, which will include petrol-diesel (ICE) and electric models.
1. New Mahindra Scorpio-N
Mahindra Scorpio-N, launched in June 2022, may get an update by April. This second generation SUV can get new headlamps and tail lamps, changed bumpers, new radiator grille and new 18-inch alloy wheels. Talking about the inside, the main update could be a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. There is no possibility of engine change in the facelift model.
2. New Mahindra Thar
The second generation Thar, which was launched in August 2020, has been waiting for a facelift for a long time. Some small updates were given last year, but it may get a big update in the third quarter this year. The new Thar may get a six-slot grille and LED headlamps with C-shaped DRLs, which will have a design like the Thar Roxx. Features like push-button start, ventilated front seats and wireless smartphone charger can be added to the interior. There is less possibility of changes in engine and gearbox.
3. Mahindra Scorpio Pick-Up
The Scorpio Pick-up will be a new pickup truck based on the Scorpio-N. It will be designed primarily for the export market, but considering the growing demand for lifestyle vehicles in India, it may be launched here as well.
It can get features like 18-inch bi-tone alloy wheels, sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and 10.25-inch touchscreen.
4. Mahindra Vision.S
The VISION.S concept, introduced in August 2025, may arrive as a production model in the first half of 2027. Its final name has not been announced yet. This will be a sub-4 meter SUV, whose design will be strong and like a real SUV. It can be positioned above the XUV 3XO. Based on the new NU_IQ platform, this model is likely to get 1.2 liter turbo petrol and 1.5 liter turbo diesel engines.
5. Mahindra BE.07
Mahindra has confirmed that the production model of the BE.07 concept, unveiled in August 2022, will launch in 2027. Its length will be about 4.6 meters, width will be 1.9 meters and height will be 1.7 meters, while the wheelbase will be 2.8 meters. This C-segment electric SUV will be positioned between the BE 6 and XEV 9S. It will be developed on the same modular skateboard platform and will have similar powertrain, battery pack and features. At least one variant will be capable of giving a range of around 650 kilometers.
