BYD India in its portfolio from 1 July 2026 Available Prices of all cars will increase by 1-2 percent
Chinese automaker BYD has announced that it will increase the prices of all its cars in India from July 1. The company currently sells only electric vehicles in the Indian market and all of these models are fully or partially imported. BYD has said that it will increase the prices of its EV models by 1% to 2%, depending on the model and variant. According to the company, the weakening value of rupee is the main reason for this price hike.
Customers who booked BYD EV in May and June will be able to complete their purchase at the current prices till July 31. However, customers who have already booked and take delivery on or after August 1 will have to pay the new increased prices, which will be effective from July 1. At present the company has not disclosed the new prices.
Currently, BYD sells four electric cars in India, which include Atto 3, eMax 7, Seal and Sealion 7. BYD Atto 3 is offered in Dynamic, Premium and Superior trims, which are priced at Rs 24.99 lakh, Rs 29.85 lakh and Rs 33.99 lakh, ex-showroom respectively. Its Dynamic trim offers a NEDC range of 410 km, while the Premium and Superior trims can go up to 480 km. The company is also offering a free maintenance package of up to two years with Atto 3 this month.
BYD eMax 7 is sold in Premium and Superior trims and both offer 6-seater and 7-seater options. The Premium trim is priced at Rs 26.90 lakh for the 6-seater and Rs 27.50 lakh for the 7-seater. Whereas the price of Superior trim goes up to Rs 29.30 lakh for 6-seater and Rs 29.90 lakh for 7-seater.
The Premium trim of the eMax 7 offers a range of 420 kilometers on a single charge, while the Superior trim can go up to 530 kilometers. The company is also offering benefits and offers up to Rs 5.20 lakh on this electric MPV this month. BYD Seal is made available in Dynamic, Premium and Performance trims, which are priced at Rs 41 lakh, Rs 45.70 lakh and Rs 53.15 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Its NEDC range is up to 510 km in Dynamic trim, 650 km in Premium and 580 km in Performance.
At the same time, BYD Sealion 7 can be purchased in Premium and Performance trims, which are priced at Rs 49.40 lakh and Rs 54.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Its Premium trim gives NEDC range of 567 km and Performance trim of 542 km.
