New Delhi. Bajaj Auto launched its popular Chetak brand as an electric scooter in 2020, and since then the scooter has made a strong identity in the Indian market. Now when her Rival Honda 2-wheelers have launched Honda Activa E of their popular scooter Activa, Bajaj has also started preparations for his new Chetak Electric Scooter. This new generation Chetak scooter can be launched this month, and there is curiosity among consumers about it.
What is special in the new generation Chetak?
Many important updates can be seen in the new generation’s Bajaj Chetak electric scooter. The biggest news is that the new model will get big boot space than before. The company is developing it on a new chassis, making the design of the scooter the same but the boot space will be increased. This will facilitate users to keep more goods, which is an important feature for electric scooters.
At the same time, the pricing of this new generation Chetak can be kept similar to the existing model. Currently, Bajaj Chetak’s ex-showroom price is between ₹ 96,000 to ₹ 1.29 lakh.
Possibility of better range
The new Chetak is likely to be given a new battery pack, which can further increase its single charge range. Currently, Bajaj Chetak gives a range of 123 to 137 km, but it can be improved further with a new battery pack. In such a situation, the range of new Chetak can be 150 kilometers or more, which will be an attractive feature for users.
Bajaj Chetak is now facing competitors like Ather Rivor, TVS Icube, Ola S1 and now Honda Activa E. Given the increasing popularity of these scooters, Bajaj needed to further improve his new Chetak so that he could remain in competition.
