Kia has introduced the Syros EV with 7 variants and 2 battery pack options, along with advanced features like triple-screen dashboard, level-2 ADAS and V2L.

Kia India has recently started booking Syros EV and its prices will also be announced soon. This compact electric SUV will come with the widest variant line-up in the segment. The company will offer it in a total of 7 variants, in which the option of 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery pack will be available. The line-up will start with the HTK variant, while the top model will be the X-Line ER. The larger 51.4 kWh battery will be available only in the Extended Range (ER) variants.

Talking about battery options, the 42 kWh battery pack offers a range of 443 km (MIDC), while the 51.4 kWh battery pack is claimed to offer a range of up to 526 km (MIDC) on a single full charge. The electric motor generates power of 171 PS and torque of 255 Nm. The model with the larger battery pack accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.1 seconds. At the same time, with the help of DC fast charger, the battery gets charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 39 minutes. Battery conditioning and battery heating systems are also provided in the upper variants.

Kia Syros EV has a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 5-inch touch climate control panel. Apart from this, features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, shift-by-wire column gear selector, paddle shifters for regenerative braking, rear AC vents, auto hold with electronic parking brake, rear sunshade curtain, frunk (front storage) and disc brakes on all four wheels are available as standard in all variants.

Kia Syros EV has 10.8 kW AC charging, Eco, Normal and Sport drive modes. Depending on the variant, customers will get features like dual-pane panoramic sunroof, Harmon Kardon 8-speaker audio system, front and rear ventilated seats, 4-way power driver seat, more than 95 connected features of Kia Connect 2.0, OTA (over-the-air) updates, wireless phone charger, smart dashcam, 360-degree camera and V2L. Level-2 ADAS with 16 autonomous safety features is also provided in the top X-Line ER variant.

Talking about design, all variants get Kia’s digital tiger face, star map LED DRLs, vertical LED lighting, crystal-cut alloy wheels and aerodynamic styling. The Extended Range variants come with 17-inch alloy wheels, while the upper variants also get automatic flush door handles, premium upholstery and ambient cabin lighting.

The Kia Syros EV will be offered with a lifetime battery warranty and can also be purchased under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme. In the Indian market, it will compete with Tata Nexon EV, Tata Punch EV, Mahindra XUV 3XO EV and other compact electric SUVs.

Talking about the key features according to the variant, HTK has digital tiger face design, star map LED DRLs and LED headlamps, LED taillamps and LED fog lamps, 16-inch dual-tone aero alloy wheels, 12.3-inch digital cluster and 12.3-inch touchscreen, 5-inch touch climate control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, shift-by-wire gear selector.
Paddle shifters, smart key and push-button start, Eco, Normal and Sport drive modes, four USB Type-C ports, electronic parking brake, rear AC vents, TPMS, auto headlamps, virtual engine sound system, disc brakes on all four wheels are available.

Whereas HTK+ variant Apart from all the features of the HTK variant, it also gets rear view camera, cruise control, manual speed limit assist.
100W USB Type-C charger will be available. HTK+ in HTX variant Apart from all the features of the variant Dual-pane panoramic sunroof, rear wiper and washer, LED rear indicators, 60:40 split sliding and reclining rear seat, rear center armrest, rear defogger, parcel shelf, LED cabin lights will be available.

HTK+ ER in HTK+ of variants Apart from all the features, 17-inch dual-tone aero alloy wheels will be available. Apart from all the features of HTX variant, HTX ER will get 17-inch alloy wheels, Kia Connect 2.0, OTA software updates. Whereas the HTX+ ER variant will get auto flush door handles, leatherette seat upholstery, leatherette steering wheel, 12.3-inch navigation, Harman Kardon 8-speaker system, smart dual camera dashcam, auto-dimming surround, battery heating system, 95+ connected features, front and rear ventilated seats, 4-way power driver seat, wireless phone charger, front parking sensors.
