Mahindra XUV 7XO will go on sale from January 5 and will see many changes inside and out, although no changes are expected in the powertrain

Mahindra has announced that from 15th December 2025 at 12 noon, customers will be able to start booking the XUV 7XO by paying Rs 21,000. At the time of booking, buyers will be able to choose the engine option, gearbox and dealership of their choice, whether they visit the showroom or use the online portal. Both petrol and diesel engines will be available with both manual and automatic gearbox options.

This SUV will make its global debut on January 5, 2026, as an updated version of the XUV 700. The teaser video released gives a glimpse of the new design, which shows new lighting elements on the front and back. The influence of the XEV 9S on the design is clearly visible. LED DRL signature and LED projector headlamps will be provided at the front.

Whereas at the rear, you will get inverted L-shaped tail-lamps and a light bar spread across the entire width. New dual-tone alloy wheels, new color options, a new grille with vertical chrome slats, XUV 7XO branding, and changed bumper design will be part of the package. Despite these updates, the shape of the SUV is unlikely to change.

Mahindra will continue with the 2.2 liter mHawk diesel and 2.0 liter mStallion turbo petrol engines. The 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearboxes will also continue. The XUV 7XO will be Mahindra’s first ICE car to get a triple-screen dashboard setup like the XEV 9S and 9E.

Expected features will include 5G connectivity, new UI, Alexa integration, Boss Mode, new AC vents, better interior materials, new central console and redesigned steering wheel. The current XUV 700 is priced between Rs 13.66 lakh and Rs 25.14 lakh (ex-showroom). Due to new features and design updates, the price of XUV 7XO may be slightly higher than this.

The latest teaser also shows electrically adjustable ORVMs, a touchscreen for the front row passenger and a premium dashboard with a tan/brown theme. After the good response to the XEV 9E and BE 6, Mahindra is set to further increase its market share with the XUV 7XO and the new XEV 9S.
