Citroen has launched the updated e-C3X electric crossover in India. The company has given it a new Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, some cosmetic changes and a cabin with more features. Under this new scheme, customers can buy the car and battery separately, which reduces the initial price significantly. Its booking has started at Citroen dealerships across the country and on the company’s online platform.
Citroën says this will make buying an EV easier and more affordable. The starting price of the new e-C3X has been kept at Rs 6.89 lakh, while a charge of Rs 2.26 per kilometer will have to be paid for battery usage. At the same time, its price with battery is Rs 10.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
Talking about the design, the Citroen e-C3X gets LED headlights, split LED DRLs, front fog lamps, new The company claims that its turning radius is only 4.98 meters.
Citroën has also retained its signature suspension tuning and comfort seats. Due to the electric powertrain, it offers a quiet and vibration-free driving experience. Apart from this, the air conditioning system has also been upgraded keeping in mind the Indian weather, which provides better cooling in summers.
A new electric blue themed dashboard has been given in the cabin. Depending on the variant, the option of dual-tone leatherette seats or fabric seats is available. It has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm and boot space of 315 liters. The features list includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charger, electrochromic IRVM and Connected Car 2.0 technology. This system offers more than 40 connected features.
If customers wish, they can also choose JBL premium audio system and front-rear dashcam package. This dashcam is equipped with safety features like lane departure alert, distance monitoring to the vehicle ahead and pedestrian warning. For safety, features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, speed-sensitive auto door lock and battery protection system are provided as standard in e-C3X. The new Citroen e-C3X is offered in 6 colors including Polar White, Steel Grey, Cosmo Blue, Perla Nera Black, Garnet Red and Deep Forest Green.
