The best performer in this list was Maruti Suzuki Victoris. The SUV took the third position with sales of 12,300 units. Despite being new in the market, it has been liked by the people due to its good features and Maruti’s strong Arena dealer network. This could become a big selling car in the future.
Whereas Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara has sold 11,339 units compared to 10,148 units, which is an increase of 12 percent on an annual basis. At fifth position was Toyota Hyrider, which has registered a huge growth of 52 percent year-on-year with sales of 7,393 units. Its hybrid powertrain attracts customers who want high mileage.
This was followed by Kia Seltos, which registered an annual growth of 18 percent with sales of 6,305 units. Mahindra XUV700 was in seventh place, with 6,176 units sold. However, its sales saw a decline of 32 percent compared to last year, the main reason for which is believed to be the preparation for the upcoming new XUV 7XO. Many customers are now waiting for the launch of the updated model. Next in the list was Tata Harrier, whose sales were 3,771 units last month. Tata Safari and Elivate have been ranked ninth and tenth in the list with 1,895 units and 1,836 units respectively.
