Ahead of its launch next week, Tata has revealed updated exteriors for both petrol (ICE) and electric versions of the 2026 Tiago.
Tata Motors has introduced two new colors for the facelifted Tiago range, which include Coral Orange for the petrol version and Mint Green for the electric version. These two colors clearly show that the company is trying to give this updated Tiago a more modern and different identity. Even before the launch on May 28, the design of both Tiago ICE and Tiago EV has been unveiled and this time more major changes have been made in the exterior than before.
Most changes in Tiago EV are seen in the front design. It has a completely closed body color front facia, which makes its electric look more visible. A small air dam and vertical slats are provided at the bottom. Aero inserts in the new alloy wheels and wheel arch cladding distinguish it from the petrol model.
At the same time, slim LED headlamps, wide glossy black grille, integrated fog lamps and chrome finish in the new bumper will be seen in petrol Tiago. Due to this, its look has become sharper and premium than before. Both versions have new dual-tone alloy wheels, updated rear bumper and new LED tail lamps.
Complete details of the interior have not been revealed yet, but it is expected to have a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control and cruise control. Apart from this, features like new digital instrument cluster, 6 airbags and 360-degree camera can also be provided in all variants.
Rear AC vents, wireless charging and sunroof can also be found in top variants. The petrol model will only get the existing 1.2-litre petrol engine, which produces 86 HP of power and 113 Nm of torque. It will have 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. There is a possibility of getting AMT option in CNG version also.
A major change in Tiago EV could be regarding the battery pack. The company may remove the 19 kWh battery pack and make the base variant a 24 kWh battery. At the same time, a new 30 kWh battery pack is expected to be available in the top variant. The new Tiago petrol facelift may start at around Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Tiago EV facelift may start at around Rs 8.5 lakh.
