The new Tata Tigor Facelift may see many changes in the exterior design, while its interior and features are expected to be updated like the new Tiago.
Tata Motors has patented the new design of the 2026 Tigor in India, increasing the hopes of its soon launch. The patent photos show multiple angles of the car and its design looks very similar to the recently updated Tiago. The Tigor is one of the very few sub-4 meter sedans in the Indian market and has received mid-life updates twice before.
According to the patent images, the front part of the new Tigor has a new bumper, larger lower air intake and horizontal slats. Apart from this, changes are also seen in the design of headlamps. The design of the bonnet remains largely the same, but the new front facia gives it a sharper and more modern look.
Viewed from the side, the same familiar design of the Tigor has been retained. However, some minor changes have been made to the newly designed alloy wheels and body, while the door handles have remained the same. At the rear, the design of the taillights has been changed and the boot lid has been given a cleaner and flat look than before. The new rear bumper also gives it a fresh look.
The recently launched new Tiago has features like LED headlamps, LED taillamps, 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, automatic climate control, cruise control and paddle shifters in AMT variants. It is expected that many of these features will also be included in the new Tigor.
A new dashboard layout like the updated Tiago can be seen in the cabin also. The larger touchscreen, new center console, digital display and better interior trims will give the car a more premium feel. However, there is no possibility of major changes mechanically. It is expected to get the existing 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, which gives power of 86 HP and torque of 113 Nm. In CNG version, this engine gives power of 73 HP and torque of 95 Nm.
The new Tigor EV may also get similar cosmetic and interior updates. It can be given a new front and rear design, updated lighting elements, new alloy wheels and features inspired by Tiago EV. However, no major changes are expected in battery, motor and range. Tata Motors has not yet confirmed the launch timeline of 2026 Tigor, but from the design patent it is clear that this model is very close to hitting the market.
