Ducati India has launched its first Motocross bike Desmo450 MX in India. With this launch, the company has entered the rapidly growing off-road bike segment of the country. The bike has been developed and tested on the competitive tracks of the MXGP World Championship. This production motorcycle is inspired by Ducati’s racing DNA and is designed for professional riders as well as amateur riders who love off-road biking.
The starting ex-showroom price of Ducati Desmo450 MX in India has been kept at Rs 17,23,600. This motorcycle will be available only at four select dealerships in the country Ducati New Delhi, Ducati VFM Bengaluru, Ducati Chennai and Ducati Pune. Its booking has started and deliveries are expected to start by the end of March 2026.
The new Desmo450 MX is designed with the aim of providing a powerful, light and smooth riding experience. It has a 449.6 cc single-cylinder engine, in which Ducati’s special Desmodromic valve technology has been used. This technology is considered quite special in the Motocross segment and it gives better power delivery to the bike. Its engine delivers strong torque at low and medium rpm, while maintaining good performance even at high rpm.
Modern electronics have also been used in the bike, which gives more control and confidence to the rider. It has an advanced traction control system, which accurately measures rear wheel slip and activates only when needed. This does not affect the performance of the bike and the rider gets better control.

The new Desmo450 MX is the first bike in Ducati’s new series of off-road motorcycles. It has a lightweight aluminum frame, which has been designed with less welds to ensure better strength, stability and agility. To further enhance the riding experience, the company has also introduced the Ducati Performance Accessory Catalog.
It includes high-performance parts like machined wheel hubs, triple clamp, Akrapovič titanium exhaust system and Brembo Racing brake callipers. Apart from this, special technical riding kit designed in collaboration with Drudi Performance and Alpinestars will also be available to the riders, which will provide the riders a premium and professional riding experience.
