Hero Karizma XMR 250 will be launched soon in the Indian market, pictures of the production model revealed

In India, Hero Karizma XMR 250 will compete directly with Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, KTM RC 200 and the soon to be launched Yamaha R2.

Recently Hero MotoCorp had announced that it will launch several new premium motorcycles in the Indian market. Hero Karizma XMR 250 is expected to be launched first among these. In the pictures surfaced, this bike is seen in red and black dual-tone color. Its design is similar to the model shown at the Bharat Mobility Expo. It has been given a full-faired sporty look, alloy wheels and road-biased tyres. It is believed that Hero can launch it in the Indian market in the coming few weeks.

Talking about the features, Hero Karizma XMR 250 will have features like split LED headlamp, clip-on handlebar, TFT instrument cluster, slipper and assist clutch, dual-channel ABS and integrated winglets. The bike will be based on a trellis frame and will be provided with golden USD front forks and preload-adjustable rear monoshock suspension.

The new Karizma XMR 250 will get a 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which will generate 29.6 bhp power and 25 Nm torque. This engine will come with 6-speed gearbox. The company has developed this engine on the basis of the 210cc engine of the existing Karizma XMR 210. In the Indian market, it will compete with Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, KTM RC 200 and the upcoming Yamaha R2.

As connectivity features, it is expected to get Intelligent Automatic Illumination and Hero Connect 2.0. More than 35 connected features, such as turn-by-turn navigation and music controls, will be available through Hero Connect 2.0. The company will sell this bike through its Premia premium dealership network.

Apart from Karizma XMR 250, Hero is preparing to launch several more premium motorcycles in India by March 2027. These will also include Hero Xpulse 421, which was recently seen during high-altitude testing in Ladakh. It is expected that this adventure bike can also be unveiled at EICMA 2026.
