Hero Motocorp Vida VX2: Hero Motocorp is ready to create a new blast in its Vida electric scooter range. The company will launch the most affordable VX2 model under the VIDA banner on 1 July. Before the launch, Hero has shown a glimpse of the family-oriented VX2 by releasing the official teaser.
The model will come with different styles and features from the current V2 lineup, but can be shared in both major components such as battery, motor and chassis. Recently VX2 was spotted at a dealership.
The company’s sales saw a tremendous growth of 540% in April 2025, which increased from 956 units in April 2024 to 6,123 units. Vida has now become the 5th most popular electric two-wheeler brand in the country.
Design and features of VX2
The design of Vida VX2 looks more aggressive and safe from V2’s angular and AG style. It has features such as single-piece flat seat, small TFT display, physical slot and separate switchgear. However, internal components such as batteries, motors, chassis and electronics will be similar to V2. The VX2 will create a new option in the market with a family-friendly design.
Vida Z or VX2? Trademark twist
Hero has traded the name Vida Z, but no registration was done for variants like Pro, Plus or Go like VX2. Vida Z has been seen during testing, and speculations are being made that it can be a rebranded version of the VX2. Vida Z’s trademark may also be used for any other future product.
Ola, TVS, Bajaj collided
Hero has not shared official details of VX2 specifications, but it is believed that it may be a rebranded version of Vida Z. The base variant can find a 2.2 kwh battery and a 3.4 kwh battery pack in the top variant, which will give a range of more than 100 km.
Like V2, VX2 will also have removable battery packs. This scooter will give a tough competition to Ola, TVS and Bajaj’s electric scooter.
Minimalist design with affordable option
Vida Z (or VX2) will be offered as a more affordable option than V2. The V2 has a 6 kw peak power motor, while the VX2 may have a slightly less power output.
It will have modern elements such as direct drive permanent magnet motor, rectangular headlamp, USB charging port, front storage, rear backrest and connectivity features. Unlike V2’s modern look, the design of VX2 is minimalist and family-friendly.
This new electric scooter of Hero MotoCorp is ready to create a panic in the market. Its price and other details will be revealed with the launch on 1 July.
