Honda 0α (Alpha) EV prototype revealed, to be launched in India in 2027

Honda 0 α (2)

The production model of Honda 0 α (Alpha) EV will be launched in the market by 2027 and will be launched first in Japan and India

Honda has revealed the Honda 0 α (Alpha) prototype at the ongoing 2025 Japan Mobility Show, offering a glimpse of the brand’s next-generation electric SUV. The concept has been showcased at Honda’s booth between October 29 and November 9, as it is the latest edition of the brand’s fully electric Honda 0 series.

The Alpha is included as the lowest model in the Honda 0 lineup. It comes alongside the Honda 0 saloon and Honda 0 SUV, which were showcased at CES 2025 earlier this year. Unlike these two, Alfa is specially designed to be driven in the city and also to be used comfortably outside when required. According to Honda, it has been designed in such a way that it can easily fit into both city streets and natural places.

The Honda 0α (Alpha) prototype is designed based on Honda’s new “thin, light and intelligent” philosophy. That means its body will be more futuristic, light and equipped with smart technology. Its production version will be launched globally by 2027 and India and Japan will be among its first markets.

The low and sleek design of Honda 0 α gives it a different look. It also retains SUV-like practicality and there has been no reduction in ground clearance. All this has been made possible by Honda’s “Thin Packaging” technology, which keeps the cabin slim but provides complete seating space and comfort inside. Its wide stance and body make it look even more strong and balanced.

At the front, Honda has combined the headlights, illuminated logo and the charging port lid into a single digital part. This makes the design look clean and consistent. At the rear, a U-shaped light bar is provided, which gives a beautiful look by combining the tail light, indicator and reverse light all in a single line.

The straight front and inverted U-shaped lights give it a clean and modern look. When it comes to India, it can be available in two battery options, whose range can be more than 500 km in a single charge. It will compete in the midsize SUV segment.
