The E-Clutch variant of Honda NX500 is costlier than the manual clutch variant by about Rs 1.11 lakh, the manual clutch variant is priced at Rs 6.33 lakh.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has today announced the addition of Honda E-Clutch technology to its mid-size adventure touring motorcycle Honda NX500 in the Indian market. This E-Clutch system automatically manages the clutch while starting, changing gears and stopping the bike with the help of electronic control.

This reduces the need for the rider to use the manual clutch frequently. However, if needed, the rider can control it himself at any time. Keeping in mind India’s congested city roads and long highway journeys, this technology will help reduce rider fatigue. The Honda E-Clutch system handles clutch operation automatically, allowing the rider to concentrate more on the road without losing the riding experience.

Honda NX500 E-Clutch has been launched in India at a price of Rs 7.44 lakh (ex-showroom). Booking of this new E-Clutch variant has started at Honda BigWing dealerships across the country. This bike will be available in two color options Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic and Pearl Horizon White.

Speaking on the occasion, Tsutsumu Otani said, “Equipped with E-Clutch technology, the Honda NX500 offers greater comfort and better control in both city and touring riding. It reduces rider fatigue while maintaining the fun and engaging riding experience of Honda motorcycles.”

The Honda NX500 is powered by a 471 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, which comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This engine is tuned for smooth power delivery at high RPM along with strong torque in the low and mid-range, giving it better performance both in the city and on the highway.

This bike has a steel diamond frame, Showa SFF-BP USD front suspension and preload adjustable rear monoshock suspension. For braking, dual channel ABS is available with dual disc brakes at the front and single disc brake at the rear. This bike runs on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup. Talking about the features, it has a 5.0-inch full color TFT display, Honda RoadSync Features like connectivity, navigation, call and music control are available. Apart from this, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and all-LED lighting are also provided as standard.
