Honda has revealed its new flagship SUV ZR-V Hybrid in India. The company has also started its booking and its launch is expected to happen in the next few weeks. Sales of the Honda ZR-V Hybrid are likely to be limited. Its price could be around Rs 40 lakh to Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, it will compete with SUVs like Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian. The design of ZR-V Hybrid looks quite different and premium. It has a clean rear design with dual exhaust outlets, flush roof rails and no connected light bar, which makes it different from other modern SUVs.

This SUV gets a dual-motor strong hybrid system with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine. This setup generates a total power of 184 HP and torque of 315 Nm. It has an e-CVT automatic gearbox, which sends power to the front wheels. According to Honda, the ZR-V Hybrid can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8 seconds and its top speed is 172 km/h. The company has stated its mileage as 22.80 kmpl.

In international markets, Honda also sells the ZR-V with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and AWD option, but in India it will be launched only with the hybrid powertrain. The length of this SUV is 4,567 mm, width is 1,840 mm and height is 1,621 mm, while its wheelbase is 2,655 mm. When the second row seats are folded, its boot space increases to 1,313 litres.

The exterior has slim LED headlamps with L-shaped DRLs, black front grille and sporty bumper design. The side profile gets 18-inch alloy wheels and black cladding. Slim taillights, roof spoiler and rear wiper are provided at the rear. It has a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster is also provided.

Talking about the features, it has dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, wireless charging, powered front seats, powered tailgate and 12-speaker Bose audio system. Center armrest and leather seat upholstery are also provided in both the seats. For safety, it has been provided with 8 airbags, 360-degree camera, TPMS and Level 2 ADAS features. The new Honda ZR-V has now become the most premium SUV of Honda India and is considered to be the company’s new entry in the premium hybrid SUV segment.
