The Hyundai Creta and the i20 hatchback were recently crash tested. Both the models have achieved 3 star crash test rating. For the tests, GNCAP used the entry-level variants of the Creta and i20. These models come equipped with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, front seatbelt warning and rear parking sensors as standard.

Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta has got a 3-star rating for adult safety in the frontal offset crash test at a speed of 65 kmph. The body shell of the SUV was found to be stable and not capable of withstanding the forward load. Apart from this, the footrest of the car was also found to be stable.

Hyundai i20
The Hyundai i20 has got a 3 star rating in the GNCAP crash test scoring 8.84 out of a total of 17 numbers. The i20 provides adequate protection to the front passenger and the head and neck of the driver. The hatchback scored 36.89 out of 49 in the child occupancy test. Tests also show that the hatchback offers poor neck protection to the baby.

Toyota Urban Cruiser
Apart from this, the Toyota Urban Cruiser has achieved a 4-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. This subcompact SUV has got 4 star rating for adult protection and 3 stars for child occupant protection.
