Hyundai Venue crosses 1 lakh bookings, new diesel AT variant launched

Hyundai has launched a new HX8 diesel (AT) variant of Venue on the achievement of 1 lakh bookings, which has features like front row ventilated seats, dual-tone leatherette seats, 4-way electric driver seat adjust.

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced that its popular compact SUV Venue has received more than 1 lakh bookings in India. Celebrating this achievement, the company has also introduced its new HX8 diesel automatic (AT) variant. This new variant has been brought with the aim of providing better performance, more convenience and features to the customers. The price of this variant has been kept at Rs 13,69,900.

The new HX8 diesel AT variant comes with the company’s trusted U2 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. This engine is capable of delivering strong performance with better mileage. Many new comfort, safety and convenience features have been added to the new HX8 Diesel AT variant.

It gets features like front row ventilated seats, dual-tone leatherette seats (with VENUE branding), 4-way electric driver seat adjust, controller over-the-air (OTA) updates, Hyundai BlueLink connected car technology, electric parking brake with auto hold and rear disc brake. Apart from this, the SUV also has features like ambient lighting on the crash pad and central console, drive mode select (Eco, Normal, Sport), traction control modes (Sand, Mud, Snow) and paddle shifters, which further improve the driving experience.

Commenting on this achievement and the launch of the new variant, Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “The all-new Hyundai Venue receiving 1 lakh bookings reflects the confidence of the Indian customers. He said that today’s customers want smart, connected and feature-rich mobility solutions and Venue fulfills this need. He further added that the new HX8 Diesel Automatic variant further strengthens the Venue lineup and is sure to delight the customers. “The CO offers a great blend of good diesel mileage, strong torque and smooth automatic driving.”

In January 2026, Hyundai launched the Venue HX5+ variant, in which features like roof rails, quad-beam LED headlights, rear wiper and washer, wireless smartphone charger etc. were added. At the beginning of February, this compact SUV had received more than 80,000 bookings in just over three months after the bookings started and the company said that about 48 percent of these customers are first-time car buyers.

Hyundai Venue is available in 1.2-litre MPi petrol, 1.0-litre turbo GDi petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. Expanding its business, the company has also entered the commercial mobility segment and under this has started Prime HB and SD taxi services. Sales in overseas markets have increased by 21 percent year-on-year in the third quarter of fiscal year 2026 (Q3 FY26). Now exports account for about 25 percent of the company’s total sales.
