Apart from Ioniq 5 facelift, Hyundai may launch 3 new affordable cars in India next year

The new Venue has proved to be the biggest and most exciting launch of this year from Hyundai recently, which has created a lot of buzz and excitement among the customers. Next year, the company is preparing to launch three new models, the aim of which will be to attract both budget and premium customers.

Hyundai’s first major launch could be the facelifted Verna next year. The company is testing this updated model in South Korea and India and it is expected that it will be introduced by April. The pictures surfaced reveal that the front design of the new Verna will be inspired by the global D-segment sedan Sonata.

At the front, a sharper bumper, changed split headlamp setup and a new radiator grille can be given, which will give the Verna a more sporty look. Apart from this, new 16-inch alloy wheels, updated rear lights and updated rear bumper can also be seen.

Inside the cabin, the facelifted Verna is expected to get a new digital instrument cluster and a new touchscreen infotainment system, which will work on CCNC software. This software was introduced three years ago in the seventh generation Grandeur. Engine and gearbox options are likely to remain the same as the current model.

About two to three months after Verna, Hyundai Exeter can also be updated, so that it can give better competition to Tata Punch. At present, not much information has been revealed about the facelifted Exeter, but it is expected that it will get newly designed bumpers, new 15-inch alloy wheels, changed front and rear lights and some new comfort features. Engine options will continue to be the existing 1.2-litre petrol and petrol-CNG engines along with 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes.

Hyundai may launch the second generation Bayon in India around the festive season, possibly in September. The company did not bring the first generation Bayon to the Indian market, but the new generation will be offered as a coupe-style and more premium option, positioned above the all-new Venue. It will get a brand new 1.2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, which will be manufactured in India and can also be used in hybrid models in future.
