Hyundai will launch 4 new SUVs in different segments next year, including one with 3-row seating.
Hyundai had announced in October last year that it would launch 26 new models by March 2030, including 7 brand new nameplates. The company has so far launched the new Venue, new Verna, Exter and Ioniq 5. Now, four new SUVs from Hyundai are expected to arrive in the Indian market by next year, out of which three will be completely new models.
1. Hyundai Bayon
The current model of Hyundai Bayon was made for Europe, but its next generation is being designed keeping the emerging markets in mind. It will also be launched in India and will be a new mid-size SUV, which will rival the Maruti Victoris and will be positioned below the Hyundai Creta. It is likely to get a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. Apart from this, the company can also offer 1.0-litre turbo petrol or 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.
2.Hyundai HE1i
HE1i is the codename of Hyundai’s new electric SUV. It can compete with Tata Punch.ev. It will be much more localized than the Creta Electric. It is expected to have two battery pack options with LFP battery cells from Exide Energy. Talking about design, boxy SUV look, flush door handle and Hyundai’s Parametric Pixel lighting signature can be seen in it. This electric SUV can be launched in the first quarter of 2027 (Q1 2027).
3. New Gen Hyundai Creta
The new generation Creta will come with a bigger, more sporty and futuristic design than the current model. It will be based on the completely new K3 platform, which will give it more cabin space. The same platform will also support hybrid powertrains in the future. Features like 9.9-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Google Built-in can be found in the cabin. The new Creta is expected to be launched in mid-2027.
4. Hyundai Ni1i (3-Row SUV)
