Kia Syros EV is a brand new model in the electric SUV segment of the country. Ex-showroom prices of Ciros EV range from Rs 13.50 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. This electric SUV is available in two battery pack options. Which includes 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. Ciros is also offering a ‘Battery-as-a-Service’ (BaaS) option for the EV, with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 7.99 lakh. Whereas, battery EMI starts from Rs 3.3 per kilometer. Inside, there is a 30-inch panoramic display, which includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 5-inch climate control interface. It also gets dual-pane panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, four-way power driver seat, sliding and reclining rear seat, dashcam, 360-degree camera and level 2 ADAS suite, etc.

What will be the monthly EMI of Ciros EV?
To calculate the monthly EMI of the Ciros EV, we have taken the base and top variants of this electric SUV, HTK and X-Line, which are priced at Rs 13.50 lakh and Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom. The loan amount is considered to be 100% of the ex-showroom price. We have not included the cost of BaaS while calculating the monthly EMI. The interest rate is considered to be 9.5% and the loan repayment period is considered to be 36 months.

According to the calculation, the monthly EMI of the base variant is Rs 43,244. Whereas, the monthly EMI of the top-end trim is Rs 64,066. However, keep in mind that the monthly EMI can vary due to many reasons depending on the loan taken, down payment, interest rate, loan repayment tenure chosen etc.

The HTK+ and HTX are available with both 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh (extended range) battery options. The top variants of the Ciros EV, the HTX+ and X-Line, are only available with the larger 51.4 kWh battery pack. All variants are equipped with a front mounted electric motor. Power output is 135 hp with the smaller battery pack variant and 171 hp with the larger unit.

The torque output of 255 Nm is the same for all variants. The certified range of the Ciros EV small battery pack variant is 443 Km. Variants with larger battery pack go 526 Km on full charge. These variants have excellent performance and range numbers in their category. With the 51.4 kWh variant, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 Km/hour in 8.1 seconds.

The Cirros EV supports DC fast charging up to 100 kW. An 11 kW AC charger can also be used. With an AC charger, the 42 kWh variant takes about four hours to achieve a 10-80% charge. In comparison, the 51.4 kWh variant takes 4 hours 50 minutes with an AC charger. With DC fast charging, all variants can achieve 10-80% charge in around 39 minutes.

The base HTK variant of the Ciros EV also offers a wide range of premium features. Exterior highlights include Star Map LED DRLs, Ice Cube LED MFR headlamps, Star Map LED combination tail lamp, LED front fog lamp and LED high mounted stop lamp. Interiors include dual 12.3-inch screens, 5-inch AC controls and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
