Impact of GST 2.0: Suzuki motorcycles and scooters become cheap by Rs 18,000

2025 Suzuki Burgman & Avenis

Suzuki has made its access, avenis, bergain, gixer and V-Strom models cheap after GST 2.0.

The entire industry has come down from the beginning of GST 2.0, which is benefiting both cars and two -wheelers consumers. After the new tax rules are implemented from 22 September 2025, the prices of many popular models will be reduced. Suzuki Motorcycle India has benefited the most in this, which has announced a savings from GST on its scooter and bike models.

The aim of GST 2.0 reforms is to make the tax system easier and impose equal tax on different trains. Earlier there were many tax slabs, due to which there was a lot of difference in two-wheeler prices. Now the government has straightened the tax slab with GST 2.0. This has reduced tax on most sold two-wheelers, while tax on expensive imported vehicles is the same as before.

For buyers, this result is direct cash savings at ex-showroom prices. Suzuki’s entry-level scooters, including Access and Avenis, are one of the most popular options. Under the new tax system, access is now getting a GST benefit of Rs 8,523, while Sporty Avenis has become cheaper by Rs 7,823. The Bergman Street Range is also relieved for buyers seeking maxi-scooter styling.

Standard Bergman Street is getting a profit of Rs 8,373, while Bergman Street is cheaper by Rs 9,798. This effect is even more clear in Suzuki’s motorcycle lineup. There is a lot of tax savings on the main gixer series in the 150 cc to 250 cc segment. Gixxer 150 is now Rs 11,520 cheaper, while Fully-Fiard Gixxer SF is saving Rs 12,311.

For buyers entering the quarter-letter segment, Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 are available with a profit of Rs 16,525 and Rs 18,024 respectively, which makes them even more competitive. Adventure enthusiasts will also benefit from GST 2.0 as Suzuki’s V-Strom SX is getting a profit of Rs 17,982 in the domestic market.

It is expected that this step will increase the benefit of the company in that segment, where the price of the bike matters a lot. This is because most of the bike prices with engine above 350 cc have increased significantly recently. At the same time, there is a possibility of demand in the auto market in the rest of the months of this festive season due to the price decreasing and good thinking of people shopping.
