Kia has expanded the range of automatic variants with the Sonet and now it has diesel 6AT variant starting at Rs 9,77,900 and turbo petrol 7DCT variant starting at Rs 9,89,900 (ex-showroom)
Kia India today expanded the automatic lineup of the Sonet compact SUV in the Indian market by adding new variants with diesel 6-speed automatic and turbo petrol 7DCT. Now the price of diesel 6-speed automatic variant of Kia Sonet starts at Rs 9,77,900, while the starting price of petrol 7DCT has been kept at Rs 9,89,900 (ex-showroom).
The special thing is that now diesel automatic and turbo petrol automatic technology has become available at a price of less than Rs 10 lakh, which is expected to further increase the popularity of this SUV. Due to increasing traffic in cities, more customers are now preferring automatic cars as it makes driving more comfortable. Keeping this in mind, Kia India has further expanded the range of automatic variants of Sonet.
The 1.5-litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox is now available in HTE(O), HTK(O), HTK+ and HTK+(O) variants. The 7-speed DCT gearbox with 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine has been introduced in HTK(O) and HTK+(O) variants. With this update, Kia Sonet becomes the first SUV in its segment to have both 6AT and 7DCT automatic transmissions available under Rs 10 lakh. This has made it easier for more customers to buy automatic cars.

Recently, the total sales of this SUV have crossed 5 lakh units, which shows the confidence of the customers.

Nowadays, people are preferring automatic cars in daily driving. Therefore, with the MY26 update, the diesel automatic and turbo petrol 7DCT have been introduced at a more affordable price so that more customers can enjoy the automatic driving experience.”
The Kia Sonet comes with multiple variants and five powertrain options. It has a powerful design, advanced technology and feature-rich cabin. For safety, it has been provided with 15 standard safety features, 10 Level 1 ADAS features and more than 70 connected car features. Besides, the company has also added a new color named Magma Red.
