Kia India has launched its second made-in-India mass-market electric SUV Kia Syros EV in India. Its starting ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 13.49 lakh, while the top X-Line Extended Range variant is priced at Rs 19.99 lakh. This electric SUV will be available at dealerships across the country from July 30, 2026. The company is offering it in 7 variants and two battery pack options.
Kia Syros EV has the option of 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery pack. The large 51.4 kWh battery pack offers a certified range of 526 km (MIDC), making it the first electric SUV in its segment to offer a range of more than 500 km. At the same time, the 42 kWh battery pack claims to give a range of 443 km. Both variants have a front-mounted electric motor giving power of 171 PS. The larger battery pack can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.1 seconds.
Talking about charging, Syros EV gets charged from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes with a 100 kW DC fast charger. It also has a battery conditioning system and 10.8 kW AC onboard charger. The SUV is built on the K1 platform and gets an IP67-rated Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery with a liquid-cooled thermal management system.

The company has also given 15 years unlimited kilometer high-voltage battery warranty to the customers. Apart from this, under the Assured Buyback Program, up to 80% resale value has been claimed after 3 years. Customers can choose from different mileage plans of 3 or 4 years and later decide to keep the vehicle, return it or exchange it for a new vehicle.
Under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme, customers can buy only the chassis for Rs 7.99 lakh, while the battery will be charged Rs 3.3 per kilometre. The company has also introduced My Convenience e-Plus package, which includes service, extended warranty and roadside assistance.
Talking about the features, Syros EV has been provided with EV-specific features like Regenerative Braking, Auto Mode, i-Pedal, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), Virtual Engine Sound System, Battery Heating System and Shift-by-Wire through paddle shifters. Through the MyKia app, customers can access more than 20,300 charging points across the country. The company has 129 DC fast charging dealerships, over 275 EV-ready workshops and over 900 touchpoints across 400 cities.
The cabin gets a 30-inch triple pano display, which includes two 12.3-inch screens and a 5-inch climate control display. Apart from this, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Kia Connect 2.0, OTA updates, 8-speaker audio system from Harman Kardon, wireless phone charger, front and rear ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, powered driver seat, 64-color ambient lighting and 16-liter trunk are also available.
For safety, it has Level-2 ADAS with 16 advanced safety features, 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist, TPMS, ISOFIX child seat mount, Rear Occupant Alert, Electronic Parking Brake, Auto Hold, 360-degree camera, Blind View Monitor and front, rear and side parking sensors.
