Kia is planning to launch the Carnival Petrol Hybrid as well as the Ciros EV in the Indian market this year.
Kia India is preparing to expand its portfolio in the year 2026. The company is planning to introduce two new models this year, which include an entry-level electric SUV and a hybrid MPV. These include the petrol-hybrid version of Kia Syros EV and Kia Carnival. Both the vehicles will be presented keeping different customers in mind.
1. Kia Carnival Petrol Hybrid
Talking about Kia Carnival Petrol Hybrid, it will be provided with 54 kW electric motor along with 1.6-litre petrol engine. This setup will generate a total power of 242 HP and torque of 367 Nm. This will be a full parallel hybrid system, which will be mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It is also likely to get three-level adjustable regenerative braking. Carnival is available with multiple powertrain options in the international market, but the hybrid version coming to India could be cheaper than the current diesel model.
Talking about the features, it can get advanced features like 19-inch dark finish alloy wheels, LED lighting, dual sunroof, powered sliding rear doors, power tailgate, rear sunshades, two 12.3-inch screens, 11-inch head-up display, Bose sound system and level-2 ADAS. ADAS will include automatic emergency braking (with junction detection), blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, and lane-keeping assist.
2. Kia Syros EV
At the same time, the company can bring Kia Syros EV as an affordable electric SUV, which will be in the initial range of its segment. It is being said that it will be built on the Syros platform and its design and technology may be inspired by the Kia EV2. Two types of battery pack options can be found in this electric SUV.

Talking about the features, it has slide and recline rear seats with 60:40 split, trinity dashboard with two 12.3-inch HD screens, 5-inch climate control panel, 8-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, ventilated front seats, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 64-color ambient lighting and 4-way power adjustable driver seat.
