Royal Enfield is preparing to launch its first electric motorcycle Flying Flea C6 in the Indian market in the next 3-4 months.
The company has shared the launch timeline of Flying Flea C6 during the announcement of the results of the third quarter (October–December) of the financial year 2025-26. Both the electric motorcycles have been showcased to the general public at Motoverse 2025 in India. With this, Royal Enfield is going to become the first major traditional (legacy) brand to enter the electric motorcycle segment in the Indian market.
Company CEO B. According to Govindarajan, the Flying Flea C6 is almost ready for production. Indications are that it may be offered for sale in the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27 (April–June 2026). He told that the company is not just looking at it as a new model, but plans to develop a whole new electric category through Flying Flea.
The Flying Flea brand will handle all electric activities of Royal Enfield. Royal Enfield has recently announced that it will increase the annual production capacity of its Chennai plant from 14.6 lakh units to 20 lakh units. This expansion is being done mainly keeping in mind the smooth production of Flying Flea C6 and S6.
Although the company has not revealed the exact launch date of C6, there are indications that it will be seen in the market in the next quarter. The C6 is likely to be launched first in major metro cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and Pune in a phased manner. Flying Flea S6 will be the second electric motorcycle of the company.
While the C6 is a neo-retro urban commuter, the S6 is a scrambler model designed to be driven on a variety of terrains. The S6 was showcased at EICMA 2025 and Motoverse 2025. According to the company, the S6 could be launched in early 2027 at a price of around Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Technical details are not available yet, but it is expected to offer a range of around 200 km on a single full charge. Along with home charging, it will also have fast charging support.
