Mahindra XUV 3XO EV gets a 39.4 kWh battery pack, which offers a driving range of up to 285 km on a single charge

Mahindra has launched the electric avatar of its popular compact SUV XUV 3XO in India. Its starting ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 13.89 lakh. Launched in Jaisalmer, the electric SUV expands the XUV 3XO portfolio and shares the same familiar design with some mild electric-specific changes. XUV 3XO EV has been introduced in AX5 and AX7L variants.

Talking about power, the XUV 3XO EV has a 39.4 kWh battery pack, which Mahindra claims gives a driving range of up to 285 km in real-world conditions. With fast charging support, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in about 50 minutes with a 50 kW DC fast charger. The electric motor generates 110 kW (147.5 hp) of power and 310 Nm of torque.

In terms of performance, this SUV is quite powerful. The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds, making it one of the fastest EVs in its segment. The driver gets three drive modes named Fun, Fast and Fearless. For better ride quality and stability, it has been provided with Frequency Dependent Damping suspension and Mahindra’s MTV-CL technology.

Talking about design, this 5-seater SUV retains the identity of the XUV 3XO family. It has LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, slim LED taillamps, roof rails, rear spoiler and diamond-cut alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, you get two 10.25-inch HD displays, panoramic sunroof, leatherette upholstery and soft-touch material on the dashboard and door panels.

The features list is quite long, including dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, electronic parking brake with auto hold, wireless charging, rear AC vents, electric ORVMs, multiple USB charging ports and a height-adjustable driver seat. Rear passengers are provided with 60:40 split seats, armrest with cup holders and adjustable headrests.

Mahindra’s Adrenox connected car platform offers more than 80 connected features, including remote vehicle control, trip data, smartwatch connectivity and inbuilt Alexa voice assistant. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard, while the top variant AX7L also gets a 7-speaker Harman Kardon audio system (with Dolby Atmos) and 65W USB-C fast charging.

In terms of safety, XUV 3XO EV has 6 airbags, ESP, TPMS, four-wheel disc brakes and rear-view camera as standard. While the top variant gets level-2 ADAS features, which include lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, forward collision warning, auto emergency braking for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, high beam assist and traffic sign recognition. Apart from this, 360-degree surround view camera and blind-view monitoring is also provided.

According to Mahindra, deliveries of the XUV 3XO EV will begin from February 23, 2026. The petrol and diesel XUV 3XO has already crossed the sales mark of over 1.8 lakh units since the end of 2024. In such a situation, the company hopes that the electric version will attract those customers who now want to move towards electric mobility.
