Mahindra XEV 9S will be launched in India on November 27 at the brand’s ‘Scream Electric’ event in Bengaluru
Mahindra is going to take a new step in the electric segment with the launch of its new electric SUV XEV 9S. It will be a 7-seater electric SUV and will be revealed at the brand’s ‘Scream Electric’ event to be held in Bengaluru on November 27. On this day, Mahindra’s electric vision will complete one year, when the company first showed the XUV.e8 and BE.05 concepts.
The new SUV will be introduced as the brand’s first 7-seater electric vehicle, as it is completely designed and engineered on the INGLO Skateboard platform. This SUV is based on Mahindra’s new EV architecture, which will form the foundation of the company’s upcoming electric vehicles. The XEV 9S has been designed as an electric vehicle from the beginning. For this reason, it will also have a flat floor cabin and more space inside.
Thanks to the skateboard platform, this SUV will offer better stability and a smoother ride. Also, it offers ample space for both passengers and luggage. Mahindra has also hinted that it will come with smart features like sliding second row seats to provide more comfort and convenience to families.
The company describes the XEV 9S as a car made for “luxurious living”. We have known the Mahindra XEV 9S in recent months to be known as XEV 7e and it is inspired by the XUV.e8 concept. Mahindra XEV 9S will be the first 7-seater electric car from the domestic SUV manufacturer.
Mahindra’s XEV 9S will be available with two battery options. We expect the same battery pack used in the XEV 9e and BE 6 to be used in this model, which may also have a 6-seater layout. It is expected to have a driving range of over 500 km on a single charge and will also support DC fast charging.
