Mahindra sales in December 2025 stood at 50,946 units, a growth of 23 percent year-on-year compared to 41,424 units sold in December 2024
Mahindra has performed strongly in the domestic market in the last month of 2025. The company’s passenger vehicle sales in December 2025 stood at 50,946 units, which is a growth of 23 percent year-on-year as compared to 41,424 units sold in December 2024. However, there was a slight decline in sales on a month-on-month basis compared to 56,336 units in November 2025.
Sales were boosted by continued good demand for SUVs like Scorpio, Thar, XUV700, XUV3XO and Bolero. It also benefited from better supply and easier tax rules. Mahindra sold 4,76,476 passenger vehicles during April to December FY26, compared to 4,02,360 units in the same period last year. In this way, sales increased by 18 percent on an annual basis.
This continuous demand in the SUV segment shows that Mahindra has a strong position in the market. Customers are increasingly liking the high ground clearance, powerful looks and different powertrain options. The company’s performance in the commercial vehicle segment was mixed. In the light commercial vehicle segment weighing less than 2 tonnes, 2,720 units were sold in December, which is 13 percent more than last year, but the overall sales in this segment for the whole year declined by 4 percent.
Mahindra’s performance was special in the 2 tonne to 3.5 tonne LCV segment. Sales of this segment grew by 37 per cent to 22,066 units in December, while total sales so far in FY26 increased by 16 per cent to 1,85,012 units. Good performance was also seen in the three-wheeler segment (including electric). It recorded a year-on-year growth of 31 per cent with sales of 7,538 units in December, while three-wheeler sales increased by 28 per cent to 82,446 units in the financial year so far.
In the passenger vehicle range, the launch of the updated three-door Thar, Bolero and Bolero Neo along with new models like On the basis of these strong figures, Mahindra reached second place after Maruti Suzuki in annual sales, leaving behind Tata Motors and Hyundai.
Maintaining this momentum, Mahindra is set to further expand its SUV portfolio in 2026. It will begin with the launch of the XUV 7XO on January 5, followed by the launch of several new and updated models across different segments throughout the year.
