The Maruti Suzuki Swift topped the list of Top 10 SUVs in December 2025, where it left behind the Tata Nexon, its sibling Brezza and the Tata Punch. Like the entire calendar year 2025, the end of the year also saw the dominance of the SUV segment, as this body style is continuously registering strong sales in different segments of India.
Maruti Suzuki Swift led the way with sales of 20,706 units in December 2025. This is a tremendous annual increase of 93 percent compared to December 2024. Tata Nexon stood second, with domestic sales of 19,375 units. It recorded an increase of 43 percent year-on-year. Nexon’s consistently good sales can be attributed to its large engine and variant portfolio, long list of features and new trims and special editions introduced from time to time.
In the compact SUV segment, Maruti Suzuki Brezza took the third position with sales of 17,704 units, although its growth remained almost stagnant at just 2 percent. Despite this, Brezza continues to strengthen the brand’s SUV line-up. Tata Punch took the fourth position with sales of 15,980 units, registering a growth of 6 percent year-on-year, making the model successful in 2025 as well.
