Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is a popular MPV car in the country. You can guess its popularity from the fact that it has crossed the sales figure of 7.5 lakh units. Ertiga MPV was introduced in the year 2012. That is, in 10 years, the car achieved this historical figure. Now the company is going to launch its facelift model, the booking of which has been started for 11 thousand rupees.
Single MPV with CNG
Maruti Suzuki says that the Ertiga has achieved great success in the last four years, and has become the segment leader. The company introduced it in CNG version with petrol and diesel. However, after the introduction of BS6 norms, the diesel version was discontinued. Let us tell you that this is the only MPV in this segment, which currently gets a CNG variant.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga had crossed the initial 2.5 lakh sales mark by the year 2015-16. About four years later, the company sold another 5.5 lakh units. At the time of launch, it was touted as an affordable alternative to the Toyota Innova. Currently, it competes in the market with vehicles like Renault Triber, Mahindra Marazzo and the recently introduced Kia Carens.

How will the new Ertiga be
The new Ertiga will be launched in the market next week. The next generation Ertiga will come with Smart Hybrid technology and will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine. Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director, Maruti Suzuki India said that the new Ertiga will come with new-age features, upgraded powertrain and advanced 6-speed automatic transmission. The new model will also be available with CNG option.
