MG Majestor will become the company’s flagship SUV after its launch and will have a 2.0 liter twin-turbo diesel engine, which will give a power of 215 HP.
MG Motor India is soon going to launch its new flagship SUV Majestor in the Indian market. The company has confirmed that its price will be announced on April 27, 2026. It is estimated that its ex-showroom price will be between Rs 40 lakh to Rs 45 lakh. This SUV will compete with vehicles like Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.
MG Majestor will replace Gloster in the company’s portfolio. It will come in Sharp and Savvy variants and will have the option of seating 6 and 7 people. It was first shown at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The SUV is based on the Maxus D90 platform, on which it is also sold in some international markets.
Talking about the engine, it will be provided with a 2.0 liter twin-turbo diesel engine, which generates power of 215 hp and torque of 478.5 Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Along with this, it has features like four-wheel drive system, low-range gearing and three locking differentials.
It has different terrain modes like Snow, Mud, Sand, Rock and Normal, which can be selected as per the need. Inside, the cabin has a dark theme, with a touch of metal finish. There are two large 12.4-inch screens on the dashboard, one for infotainment and the other for the digital meter.
Talking about the features, it includes panoramic sunroof, 12-speaker JBL sound system, powered tailgate, three-zone climate control, dual wireless charging, ventilated and massaging front seats, electric seats with memory function and many advanced safety features. For safety, it has been provided with features like multiple airbags, level-2 ADAS, TPMS, hill hold assist (HHA), hill descent control (HDC), electronic parking brake (EPB) and 360-degree camera.
Talking about design, the look of MG Majestor is quite muscular and powerful. It has a large gloss-black grille, vertical LED headlamps, slim DRLs, body cladding, silver skid plate and 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Apart from this, LED taillamps, side steps and dual exhaust outlets make it more premium.
