MG Windsor Inspire Edition gets cosmetic updates to differentiate it from the standard model
JSW MG Motor India has today launched the Inspire Edition of the Windsor EV in the Indian market, which has been priced at Rs 16.64 lakh. Its booking has started in India from today and only 300 units will be available and the delivery will start from October 15. 40,000 units have been sold since its launch, which shows its popularity.
The new edition was unveiled by the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi. Dressed in Pearl White and Starry Black dual-tone exterior, the Inspire Edition gets a few styling changes that set it apart from the standard model.
It adds all-black 18-inch alloy wheels with rose gold inserts, blacked-out mirrors and custom Inspire badging. Inside the cabin, the dual-tone touch of Sangria Red and Black leather gives it a premium feel. The embroidered “Inspire” logo and golden design further add to the luxury feel. Additionally, the Aero Lounge seats that recline up to 135-degrees and black-out armrests ensure ultimate comfort during long journeys.
The company has introduced a special accessory package with the Inspire Edition. This includes rose gold finish on the front grille and side moldings, bumper corner guards, 3D “Inspire” themed floor mats, leather covers and branded cushions. Apart from this, customers can also choose premium add-on features like Drive Mate Pro+ kit, SkyLight Infinity View glass roof, and illuminated wireless sill plate.
Windsor’s battery-as-a-service (BaaS) model has made premium electric vehicle (EV) ownership accessible, and its running cost of around Rs 3.9 per km makes it affordable. Its reach is expected to further expand with the Windsor Inspire Edition priced at Rs 9.99 lakh or a total of Rs 16.64 lakh (ex-showroom) under the BaaS scheme.
The Inspire Edition has the familiar 38 kWh setup with additional connectivity features. One of the highlights is the new Watch Wellness app, developed in collaboration with Brilliant Wellness and available through the Jio Store. The app allows you to stream curated health and mindfulness videos directly through the infotainment display even when the car is stationary.
